Mr John Rowles is an Orthopaedic Consultant at Woodthorpe Hospital in Nottingham

Mr Rowles is a traditional general orthopaedic surgeon with an interest in hip and knee replacements, knee arthroscopies and hip and knee injections . He currently holds a consultant post at Derby Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. All prosthesis he uses are tried and tested and have an excellent success rate.
Following the M1 Kegworth air crash on 8th January 1989, Mr Rowles collated clinical material and documented the injuries sustained by the victims. He contributed to the 'crash brace' position currently used by the aircraft industry.
He also undertakes medico-legal reports and can be called upon as an expert witness.
Specific areas of Clinical interest include: hip replacements, knee replacements, knee arthroscopies, lower limb disorders, removal of lumps and bumps e.g. ganglions, foot ankle surgery.
